Happy Saturday! A few days ago I saw Eleanor Sophie Writes do the Behind the Blogger tag. I’ve been on the search for a “meet the blogger” style of tag for a while now and this one seemed perfect! This tag was created by Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx and you can find the original post here. I’m not going to tag anyone specific but if you’re reading this then I tag you!
Thank the person who nominated you.

Why did you start blogging? & Why have you kept blogging?
I started blogging on my Bookstagram back in 2018, mainly so I could connect to other bookish people and share what I was reading. I’ve been active on and off over the years, due to reading slumps and “real world” commitments but ultimately stayed because of the friends I’ve made and the creativity of the community.
What is your favourite type of blog post to write?
Mostly TBRs. I’m always very hopeful in these posts because I’m excited to read so many books (though I don’t always get to them), and I get to share any new books I’ve purchased.
What are your top three favourite blog posts you wrote?
My absolute favourite blog post is The Last Kingdom – Book vs TV Series. This is easily my most popular post and I plan on making these for the rest the series. I’ve also drafted and planned a few more Book vs TV posts (for The Umbrella Academy and The Three Musketeers), hopefully I’ll have these up soon. My other favourite posts are my review for the Expanded Companion Guide: World of Linaria Part 1 and my recent reread review for The Hunger Games.
What are some of your favourite things to do to relax?
My favourite way to relax at the moment is watching Critical Role. Its a livestream of “nerdy-ass voice actors playing Dungeons and Dragons”. Its been so comforting for me to immerce myself in another world and the show is so entertaining. I was meant to be meeting all the cast of CR at MCM London Comic Con in May but obviously its been postponed and I can’t make the new date unfortunately. Recently I’ve been going on morning runs which has been a great way relieve stress. I absolutely miss relaxing with my best friends. We’ve been talking everyday during this pandemic and hanging out on Animal Crossing but we miss our legendary piss-ups! When this is all over we’re planning a pretty spectacular one as by that time we’ll be celebrating several belated birthdays.
What are three of your favourite things?
Fresh coffee, The Black Parade album by My Chemical Romance and being by the sea.
What are your proudest blogging moments?
I reached 100 followers on my blog just yesterday. I was very emotional when I got the notification so thank you all for being interested in my blog and reviews!
What are your hobbies outside of blogging?
I’ve recently started learning bass and guitar, though I don’t practise as much as I should. As mentioned above I enjoy going to Comic Cons when I can and I love to cosplay. Cosplay is when nerds like me dress up as their favourite characters at go to conventions. I make my costumes but some people buy their costumes instead. I love going to concerts and festivals too. Last year I volunteered at Download and Reading Festival, where I was mainly working as campsite assistence, which is just making sure everyone is safe and having fun.
Describe your personality in three words?
Practical, emotional and hopefully reliable.
What are your top three pet peeves?
Indecisiveness, laziness and not washing hands after using the loo!
What’s something your followers don’t know about you?
I graduated with a BSc in Coastal Marine Biology a couple years ago. I also can’t cook rice! I don’t know why I’m so bad at it because it should be simple. Maybe I’ll figure it out someday.
